Man Utd FINALLY make Bryan Mbeumo decision fans have been crying out for

Manchester United are finally ready to make the decision over Bryan Mbeumo that many fans have been waiting for.
Mbeumo has been hotly linked with a move from Brentford to Man Utd this summer, yet the Red Devils have seen their early efforts to land the Cameroon international knocked back by the Bees.
A greater threat has emerged in recent hours over the deal. Brentford manager Thomas Frank left the club to join Tottenham Hotspur, who promptly entered the bidding war for the 25-year-old former Troyes attacker.
With this news, there was an expectation that Man Utd would return with an even bigger bid. But for once, it appears that the Old Trafford side will show caution in the transfer market.
Gone are the days of Antony and Hojlund
It’s a long-awaited revelation for a team that has so often overpaid for stars in the recent past and hints that the Red Devils have finally turned the corner in their transfer strategy.
This is a club, remember, that panic-bought Antony for €95 million from Ajax and wound up spending €70m on Rasmus Hojlund when he was initially valued internally closer to the €40m mark.
ESPN reports United have finally learned from experience. Top targets will be allowed to escape them should the demands on these players be placed too high, with United adamant that they will not bid beyond their internal valuations.
Mbeumo could be the first victim. Other players on the shortlist of Ruben Amorim’s side include Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace.

And the decision looks like a wise one. United have already had a €60m bid rejected, with Mbeumo’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) sitting at €58.1m.
Brentford want something in the region of €70m, which is in line with the value that United paid for Wolves for Matheus Cunha. That’s around a 15% tax on the player, suggesting the Old Trafford side are wise to sit this one out unless these demands drop.
It might not be an easy path to take at first. Rival clubs have grown used to United buckling under pressure, just as they did when Antony arrived from Ajax for a club-record fee, so it may be that the summer transfer window becomes complicated at points.
In the long run, it will be worth it. Fans have been crying out for it for years. If that means missing out on Mbeumo, so be it.
