Man Utd get serious over Onana replacement as interest causes 'PANIC'

Torino are 'panicking' due to Manchester United's interest in Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and are scrambling to identify replacements, according to Italian media.
The Serbia international has been increasingly linked with a departure from the Serie A side in recent weeks, initially emerging as a surprise target for Man City and later Man Utd.
Earlier this week, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Red Devils are indeed interested in Milinkovic-Savic, who had a long since forgotten stint at Old Trafford a decade ago as a youngster.
Though landing a goalkeeper is not the most urgent priority at Man Utd, they are exploring the market for a potential replacement for Andre Onana, who is increasingly becoming the subject of ridicule as his former club Inter managed to sign an upgrade in Yann Sommer for a fraction of the fee Man Utd paid for the Cameroon international.
Milinkovic-Savic has been one of Serie A's most reliable shot-stoppers in recent years, and he is understood to have a €20 million release clause that is only valid for non-Italian clubs.
Torino 'panicking' over Milinkovic-Savic
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the fact that Milinkovic-Savic can be signed for such a relatively trifling fee is causing 'panic' at Torino, who do not want to lose their star goalkeeper.
In fact, it is claimed that owner Urbano Cairo is trying to open talks with the player's camp over a contract extension in a bid to get rid of his release clause or, at the very least, to bump up its value.

However, it may be too little too late, with reports earlier this week suggesting that Milinkovic-Savic would be keen on returning to Man Utd this summer.
As a result, Torino have begun looking for potential replacements and have identified some intriguing options. It is claimed that Loris Karius and Jonathan Klinsmann are two names under consideration.
Infamous Liverpool flop Karius is currently on the books at Schalke and managed to revive his career with some good performances before suffering an unfortunate injury.
He's out of contract and wants clarity on his future, but the 2. Bundesliga side have not yet opened formal talks over an extension. Sky Germany revealed on Monday that he has suitors in Italy, where his wife, popular TV presenter Diletta Leotta, is from.
As for Klinsmann, as his name suggests, he is the son of Germany legend Jurgen Klinsmann. After initially failing to live up to his iconic name, the former US youth international has been impressing at Cesena in Serie B this season.
