'SICKENING' - Liverpool fans react to Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure

Liverpool fans have taken aim at Trent Alexander-Arnold after he confirmed his decision to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
The England international was offered the chance to extend his stay at Anfield, but he opted to reject this opportunity in order to join Real Madrid on a Bosman deal.
OFFICIAL: Trent Alexander-Arnold CONFIRMS Liverpool exit
Alexander-Arnold is expected to become a Real Madrid player in July, with multiple reports insisting that an agreement has been reached on personal terms as Los Blancos prepare to sign the 26-year-old on a free transfer.
The England defender joined Liverpool’s academy at the age of six and he progressed through the ranks before making his first-team debut against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup back in October 2016.
He has now racked up a whopping 352 senior appearances for the Reds, scoring 23 goals and winning nine trophies, including the 2024-25 Premier League title.
However, Liverpool were unable to convince him to extend his contract, due to his desire to join Real Madrid, and he announced his decision to leave Arne Slot’s side with an emotional farewell video posted on social media.

Although Alexander-Arnold has been adored by Liverpool fans ever since his breakthrough under Jurgen Klopp, the vast majority of Reds supporters have expressed their anger at the Englishman since his exit was confirmed.
Many believe Alexander-Arnold should’ve shown loyalty to his boyhood club by following the example set by Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk by signing a new contract instead of leaving on a free transfer.
What have Liverpool fans said?
I still can’t quite believe we’re losing Trent on a free:
• 26 years old
• His tally of 64 assists is the most by a defender in Premier League history
• Easily worth £100m+
It’s sickening. pic.twitter.com/Szi0tmXxXG— Slotoholic (@Slotoholic) May 5, 2025
Hope Trent isn’t on the bus for the parade. Just get on the plane after the final whistle and don’t even look at that trophy as you walk out.

Give Trent's medal to one of Endo's kids imo.

Disappointing but not surprised Trent has decided to leave for free especially as our scouser in the team, but we’ve seen players come and go and we will compete next season without him. No one is bigger than the club.
Give him a send off for his recognition, then go again.— Samuel (@SamueILFC) May 5, 2025
Imagine every Liverpool fan growing up DREAMING of playing for the club - Trent has had that opportunity and thrown it away for FREE.
Thanks for the memories but Trent is no legend of this club.— LFC Transfer Room (@LFCTransferRoom) May 5, 2025
Trent Alexander-Arnold pulling a Mason Mount-style interview before leaving Liverpool? Yeah, not exactly winning brownie points. But hey, good luck!pic.twitter.com/DUkNkJM2cc https://t.co/niHJRxFIuJ
