Chelsea make final decision on selling Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid

Chelsea will not sell Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid this summer despite a credible source confirming Los Blancos' interest.
The Argentina international is seemingly never not in the news. Last year, there were frequent reports of unhappiness and of a potential exit, with Fernandez flattering to deceive at Chelsea.

It has been a different story so far this term as the 24-year-old has been fairly reliable for the Blues, but this hasn't quieted the speculation surrounding his future.
On the contrary, his performances are said to have attracted the attention of both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Sky Sports has now confirmed that Los Blancos are indeed interested in the midfielder.
Fernandez is described as a 'long-term' target for the 15-time Champions League winners, while there has also been talk of the Argentine contingent at Atletico trying to convince him of a move to Spain's capital.

Chelsea won't sell Fernandez
However, the above-mentioned report makes it clear that Chelsea have absolutely no intention of selling Fernandez this summer. Considering that he previously was the Blues' record signing, commanding an outlay of €121 million, Real Madrid would likely have to shatter their own €115m transfer record.
It is thought that Real Madrid are not in a position to afford the World Cup winner this summer. Fernandez is still tied to Chelsea until 2031, so there is no chance of them offering him up on a cut-price deal.

The report also states that Chelsea's stance on Moises Caicedo is the same. The Ecuador international has been attracting genuine interest from Al-Nassr, but as has been known for some time, the West London club won't entertain offers for him in the upcoming window.
Chelsea are well-stocked in the centre of midfield, and this is likely to be the only area of their squad that won't see significant change this summer.
