Thomas Tuchel will not accept an offer to be Manchester United’s next manager.

That is according to ESPN pundit Ale Moreno, who claims that Tuchel will not want to take on a job where there is so much of a mess to clear up.

Tuchel has emerged as one of the main candidates to succeed Erik ten Hag as Manchester United manager at the end of the season.

The German manager will be available as he is leaving Bayern Munich once the 2023-24 campaign ends.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, is almost certain to be sacked by Man Utd after a disastrous season.

There has even been talk of a possible swap which will see Ten Hag take over at Bayern, and Tuchel go to Man Utd.

But Moreno believes there is no chance of Tuchel going to Old Trafford.

What did Ale Moreno say?

“If Thomas Tuchel wins the Champions League, there’s no need for him to take over this mess at Man Utd,” Moreno told ESPN FC.

“Man Utd have a damaged name and a damaged brand now. It’s not a one-year or one transfer market project.

“Man Utd are not going to get to choose the manager who they want.

“Which manager is going to be willing to take on this mess?

“They will get to choose a manager who is up and coming and who sees this as a stepping stone.

“Thomas Tuchel is beyond that.”

Tuchel’s next match will be the biggest in his reign at Bayern as they take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.

The first leg was 2-2 in Munich, with the second leg taking place in the Spanish capital.
