Manchester United were demolished by Newcastle at the weekend, and one player in particular came out of the match looking less than impressive.

The Magpies comprehensively outplayed United on Sunday and claimed a fully deserved 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson. Moreover, Eddie Howe's side leapfrogged the Red Devils into third, and United could even temporarily slip down to fifth if Tottenham get a point against Everton on Monday evening.

This result has already had serious repercussions with Erik ten Hag said to be extremely disappointed, which in turn may have sealed the fate of some of United's less-than-impressive performers. Indeed, uncertainty is looming over Jadon Sancho with his coach getting increasingly frustrated by his fitness issues and lacklustre outings.

It was another player, however, who went viral in the aftermath of the match, having been sent for a hotdog by Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes.

Twitter reacts to Guimaraes' skill

What happened? Newcastle United posted a video of Bruno Guimaraes staying calm under pressure and casually nutmegging United flop Wout Weghorst. Guimaraes is said to be a Real Madrid target and his performances since arriving at St. James' Park certainly warrant links to Europe's elite.

The 25-year-old has been in inspired form as Newcastle continue their charge for a surprising spot in the Champions League. Many expected the Magpies to improve thanks to their fresh Saudi backing, but few could have anticipated them to succeed this quickly, and Guimaraes has been a big reason behind their resurgence.

The video posted by Newcastle garnered the desired reactions, with Magpies fans celebrating their midfield star and taking shots at the other Bruno on the pitch - Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United.
