Manchester United have been given an update on Napoli's asking price for striker Victor Osimhen.

''[Man Utd] have to pay at least €120 million for him,'' reports transfers expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Serie A as a result of an incredible 2022-23 campaign.

Napoli are at the top of the table, 12 points clear of Milan in second, largely due to Osimhen's output.

The Nigerian has a remarkable 13 goals in 14 Serie A starts, along with three assists.

Needless to say, he is the league's top goalscorer, and is attracting interest from a number of Europe's elite clubs.

Man Utd's Osimhen alternative

Arsenal legend Paul Merson believes that Manchester United would be 'crazy' not to sign Tottenham Hotspur and England star Harry Kane.

Kane is having one of his best goalscoring seasons, scoring 16 times in 21 Premier League appearances.

But his world-class performances have gone under the radar as a result of Erling Haaland's incredible form for Manchester City.

The 22-year-old has 25 league goals already in the 2022-23 season, having signed from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

Merson, however, thinks that Kane could put up similar numbers in a Manchester United shirt.

Ten Hag's side are in need of a world-class striker in order to compete with City and Arsenal at the top of the table.
