McTominay all over again: Napoli raid Manchester for €120m star PERFECT for Conte

Napoli completed arguably the transfer of the season when they signed Scott McTominay last summer, and now Antonio Conte’s side are ready to revisit Manchester to do it all over again.
McTominay joined the Serie A leaders for €30m from Manchester United last summer and has become one of the standout players in the league, chipping in with numerous goals and winning widespread acclaim for his impact on the squad.
Now Antonio Conte is seeking a deal that can made a similar impact. Instead of targeting the Old Trafford side, Napoli are looking at the possibility of a double raid on City.
According to Sky Sport Italia, they are looking to exploit Kevin De Bruyne’s friendship with Romelu Lukaku to sign the playmaker, yet a more interesting deal surrounds a move for Jack Grealish, which is reported by The Sun.
Grealish can be Kvaratskhelia’s replacement
Grealish was signed by City for €117.5 million from Aston Villa in 2021 but has never lived up to his price tag. Instead of being a maverick game-breaker, he has been shackled by Pep Guardiola and has failed to provide the impact hoped of him.
The England star is set to be one of the players sacrificed as Man City prepare for a reset and Napoli are studying a deal for the player to become the replacement of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined PSG in January.
Kvaratskhelia had both the freedom and the flair to devastate defences in Serie A, and it’s hoped that Grealish can do the same. And this is something the data backs up.
SciSports, an analytics company that specialises in Career Advice, gives Napoli a Club Fit score of 81. This is a figure marked out of 100 based around a variety of factors, from playing time and potential development to style and formation.

Grealish’s score for Antonio Conte’s side is especially high. Indeed, there is no destination that marks higher for the winger.
The 29-year-old, who is under contract at City until 2027, is given four stars for potential development in Naples and three stars for playing time, but his qualities can really be unlocked because he fits perfectly into Conte’s formation and style.
It’s not clear what sort of figure Man City will demand for Grealish. He has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €43.5m, which would come in as Napoli’s third most expensive signing ever behind Victor Osimhen and Hirving Lozano.
Given what he could bring to the squad and the chances of the move being a hit, it’s little wonder that Conte is exploring the possibility of a transfer.
