Sparks fly at PSG as star player DROPPED after squaring up to sporting director

Conflict never seems to be too far away at PSG, with the women’s team rocked by a reported dressing room bust up between male sporting director Angelo Castellazzi and star forward Marie-Antoinette Katoto.
PSG became known for their drama during the era of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in the men’s team, but while Luis Campos seems to have a strong handle on this aspect of things, over in the women’s team, that is not the case.
L’Equipe has detailed a dressing room battle between Katoto and Castellazzi that resulted in the pair having to be pulled apart by their team-mates.
What happened?
PSG suffered defeat on penalties in the Coupe de France final against Paris FC under the gaze of president Nasser Al-Khelaifi on Saturday, resulting in head coach Fabrice Abriel being sacked by the Parc des Princes side on Monday.
Following this decision, L’Equipe reports that a “heated” meeting was held between the sporting director and the squad, ending with Katoto squaring up to the Italian.
“The French international striker accused him of criticising her during another meeting. Tensions escalated. The two protagonists found themselves at odds and had to be separated,” L’Equipe reports, noting that PSG would not be drawn to comment on the incident.
Katoto has been critical of PSG previously this season, having refused to sign a new contract with the club.
“My decision has been made and it won’t change,” she told AFP at the end of November.
It is believed that she will sign for Lyon, while it may also be that she has played her final game for PSG, having been dropped from the team that will face Nantes in the league on Wednesday.
