Vinicius Junior's girlfriend, Virginia Fonseca, has posted a message of remembrance on social media after the tragic death of her bodyguard and his wife.
Rogerio Camilo Ramos and his wife, Paulla Regina Rodarte Camilo, died in Brazil on Sunday evening after a motorcycle accident.
Rota Verde Goiás, as quoted by Marca, reports that Ramos' death was confirmed almost immediately after the accident in the Metropolitan Region of Goiania, while Camilo received treatment but ultimately did not survive.
"A while ago I received the news about Camilo (our personal security guard) and his wife; I hadn't published anything before because we were waiting for all the relatives to find out, but since I received the news I haven't been able to do anything else, I'm heartbroken," Fonseca posted on Instagram.
"Camilo, we will be eternally grateful to you for all the care, protection, wisdom, purity and immense love that you have always dedicated to our family. Your presence was a safe haven and your memory will live forever in our hearts," Vinícius' partner said goodbye.
"Life is, in fact, a sigh, and in this moment of sadness words seem insufficient, especially in the face of things that we will never come to understand; we can only trust in God's purpose.
"We know that, now, you and Paula will be the guardian angels of little Heloísa, watching over her from up there. Down here, we will join the family to ensure that she never feels helpless, taking care of her with all the love that you have always transmitted.
"May God comfort the heart of all family members and, especially, that of Heloísa. My sincere condolences."
Earlier that day, Fonseca attended the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid with Vinicius Junior. The pair posted pictures of the event, including one with Ferrari star Lewis Hamilton.
Later, she posted another message on Instagram which read:
“It still hasn’t sunk in… Camilo was with us in São Paulo just a short while ago – always so helpful, assisting me with the kids’ safety – and today he and his wife were in an accident and passed away.
“I’m in shock, heartbroken, and struggling to understand why, but no one can explain God’s plans… Rest in peace. My deepest condolences to the whole family; you can count on me for absolutely anything.”
The Real Madrid star and Virginia first started dating in October of 2005 and although they would break up for a period, they reportedly rekindled their romance in the summer of 2026.
Fonseca is a Brazilian social media influencer, businesswoman, and television personality with 54 million Instagram followers. She initially became famous through YouTube and other social media platforms, where she shares content about her lifestyle, beauty, family, and everyday life.
She is also the founder of WePink, a Brazilian beauty and cosmetics company that has become a major part of her business career. Because of her large online following, she is one of the most recognisable influencers in Brazil.
