PSG expect 'extremely low and insulting' offer for Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain expect Real Madrid to make an "extremely low and insulting" bid for Kylian Mbappe, RMC Sport report.

PSG are convinced that Real Madrid want to show that they have made an effort to sign the summer, only for the Ligue 1 club to be blamed for the block of the deal.

Mbappe still has a year left on his contract and Monday is the last day on which he can accept the option to extend the deal for another year. If he does not, the Parisian management will try to sell him.

PSG are convinced that the 24-year-old attacker has already agreed a contract with Real Madrid, who he will join as a free agent next summer.

The Ligue 1 champions claim that France international star Mbappe has said publicly on no fewer than eight occasions that he would never leave in such a manner.

However, other sources claim that Mbappe became frustrated with the club during last year's summer transfer window. He felt that promises made to him by PSG were no held, with the squad not reinforced in the manner that he had expected and understood.

Now the question will be who plays the game the hardest. PSG can choose not to register Mbappe for the Champions League, for example. The deadline for registration is 4 September.

This does not seem like a good solution for anyone. After all, the striker wants to play ahead of Euro 2024 and the Olympic Games in Paris – a competition that he has said he wants to take part in.

PSG, in turn, yearns for a Champions League glory and without their star player, achieving success in the European Cup seems to be an even more difficult task for new head coach Luis Enrique.

Mbappe’s replacement lined up

Meanwhile, preparations are already being made for a departure from Mbappe with the possible arrival of Ousmane Dembele. The Barcelona attacker has a €50 million escape clause in his contract, which expires on 31 July. After this date, that figure will be doubled.

If the parties involved do not manage to iron out all the wrinkles in time, it is possible that PSG will pull the plug on the negotiations.
