Los Blancos’ are set for big changes in the summer, with Xabi Alonso to replace Carlo Ancelotti as the club’s head coach.

The signing of Huijsen is confirmed, while it’s only a matter of time before Trent Alexander-Arnold’s arrival is made official. Real Madrid are still trying to negotiate a deal with Liverpool that will see the right-back leave Anfield before the end of his contract in June.

Real Madrid target two more signings: Carreras one step away

Alvaro Carreras is close to joining Real Madrid on a permanent basis from Benfica, Sky Sport Switzerland reports.

A deal is being rushed through for the 22-year-old left-back, with “intense negotiations” already underway for the player.

Real Madrid are targeting a full agreement for the player within a fortnight. He is expected to become a member of Xabi Alonso’s squad after the Portuguese Cup final on 25 May, with a six-year deal already prepared for him.

No transfer fee has yet been agreed. It is expected that Los Blancos will pay €50m for the player, which is the value of his release clause.

Everything has been agreed between Carreras, a former Manchester United youth player, and Real Madrid.

This deal will take the summer spending of the club to €110m after Huijsen’s move.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr plan revealed

An “order” from president Florentino Perez himself has come to monitor Cristiano Ronaldo Jr in the months ahead, according to Defensa Central.

Los Blancos are looking into the possibility of signing the 14-year-old to their youth sides following the legendary success of his father at the Bernabeu. Cristiano Ronaldo, of course, is Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer.

The Portugal U15 international, who currently plays with the academy of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, netted twice for his country last weekend in a tournament in Croatia.

A Real Madrid scout was on hand to watch his performance, which will have impressed the Bernabeu side.

With Cristiano Ronaldo Sr's future at Al-Nassr in doubt, a move could be very possible.
