Asensio's Real Madrid future outlined by Ancelotti

Marco Asensio’s future at Real Madrid has not been guaranteed by head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has suggested that the midfielder’s fate could be decided right up until Transfer Deadline Day.
Out of contract in 2023, Asensio has been left on the bench for the duration of fixtures against Eintracht Frankfurt and Almeria so far this season.
He was, however, an important member of the squad last season, scoring 12 goals in 42 outings as Madrid won the Champions League as well as La Liga.

Speculation is rife that the 26-year-old could be on the move for the first time since he spent his first year as a Real Madrid player on loan at Espanyol in 2015/16.
Ancelotti has done little to distance himself from the possibility of a transfer.
“As I said, Asensio is a Madrid player,” the coach said when asked why the midfielder had not played a single minute yet this season. “Until he leaves, I consider him a Madrid player and he is going to play. You have to take into account what he did last year, he scored a lot of goals.
“He is an important player, and he will remain so as long as he is a Madrid player. We have to wait until August 31st [sic] and see what happens.”
The La Liga transfer window actually closes on 1 September and there is sure to be late interest in a player as talented as Asensio.
Who’s interested in Asensio?
A string of Premier League clubs have been linked with the Spain international in the past. Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool have all been said to have been keeping tabs on the former Real Mallorca youth, who has played on 235 occasions for Real Madrid and has scored 49 goals.
All these sides are liable to be keeping tabs on Asensio, who they could pick up for a bargain price as the 2022 summer transfer window winds to a close.
