As always, Premier League teams have spent heavily so far.

Manchester United have signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to revamp their attack, with Manchester City also flexing their financial power to sign Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.

Chelsea have signed Liam Delap, Estevao, Jorrel Hato, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, among others.

Arsenal have been very busy, too, bringing in Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Cristhian Mosquera.

The biggest deal so far this summer saw Florian Wirtz complete a blockbuster transfer to Liverpool from Leverkusen, while they also brought in Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth and Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong from the Bundesliga. Luis Diaz went in the other direction, signing for German giants Bayern Munich.

The transfer saga of the summer involves Alexander Isak, who is attempting to force through a departure from Newcastle to Liverpool.

Man Utd want to sell FIVE players before deadline day

Man Utd are actively looking to sell five squad players before the end of the transfer window.

Manchester Evening News reports that the club want to offload Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Ramsus Hojlund.

At the beginning of the summer, that group was part of a 'bomb squad' that United wanted to sell, but so far the only member of that squad to leave is Marcus Rashford.

How did they let this happen...?

Jackson could leave Chelsea on loan

Chelsea could allow Nicolas Jackson to leave on loan this summer, according to Ben Jacobs, who wrote on X:

"Understand clubs interested in Nicolas Jackson are being told a loan with obligation may be possible under the right conditions. £10m loan fee. Aston Villa are exploring a deal and a Newcastle or Milan move can't be discounted. Jackson is expected to have several options if Chelsea's £80m valuation drops south of £70m."

Barca wonderkid wanted by Premier League sides

Both Wolves and West Ham are interested in signing Marc Casado from Barcelona.

The La Masia graduate will likely find starts hard to come by this season due to the abundance of options that Hansi Flick has in midfield. The club are not actively looking to sell, but will look at offers of around €30 million or more.

Casado did earn plenty of minutes last season, but that was mainly due to the injuries of both Frenkie de Jong and Marc Bernal, both of whom are now available. (Marca)

Leeds are close to signing Noah Okafor from Milan for £18.4m (€21m).

The newly-promoted side recently announced the acquisition of Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer but want to bolster their forward line further.

Tottenham look at Savinho alternatives

It is looking increasingl likely that Tottenham will no longer pursue a deal for Savinho due to Man City's £70 million (€81m) valuation of the winger.

They have now turned their attention to a cheaper alternative in Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche, who is reportedly available for around £47.5m (€55m).

Monaco began their Ligue 1 campaign on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Le Havre and Akliouche was on the scoresheet. (Independent)

Chelsea still plan to sign Garnacho

Chelsea still plan to sign Alejandro Garnacho this summer.

The Argentine winger has been frozen out of the squad at Man Utd by manager Ruben Amorim and will be allowed to leave if the club's asking price is met.

Man Utd's asking price started at around €70 million but that has now dropped to around €40m, though Chelsea still believe they can get him for cheaper due to his current status at Old Trafford. (Evening Standard)

Newcastle's response to Isak social media post

Newcastle have responded to Alexander Isak's social media post which accused the club of broken promises.

The club's response states:

"We are disappointed to have been alerted to a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening. We are clear in response that Alex remains under contract and that no commitment has ever been made by a club official that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer. We want to keep our best players, but we also understand players have their own wishes and we listen to their views. As explained to Alex and his representatives, we must always take into consideration the best interests of Newcastle United, the team and our supporters in all decisions and we have been clear that the conditions of a sale this summer have not transpired. We do not foresee those conditions being met. This is a proud football club with proud traditions and we strive to retain our family feel. Alex remains part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates”.
