Arsenal set Zubimendi price

Arsenal have no intention of selling Martin Zubimendi this summer despite the expensive acquisition of new midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle. At the moment, Mikel Arteta has Zubimendi, Guimaraes, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Eberechi Eze, Maz Dowman, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly who can all play in central midfield, so the competition for places is fierce.

Football London reports that Real Madrid are considering a move for Zubimendi, perhaps looking to take advantage of that competition for places at the Emirates.

However, the Gunners don't want to let the Spaniard go and have given him a price tag of €90 million to ward off any suitors.

Whether the clubs can meet at the negotiating table if Madrid are willing to pay such an amount is unclear at this point.

Lewis-Skelly offered out

Speaking of Lewis-Skelly, he has been offered to both Manchester United and Chelsea as Arsenal look to raise funds by selling their young star.

The 19-year-old featured only sporadically for the Gunners in the first half of last season, although he began to establish himself in midfield towards the end of the campaign after being used in midfield by Arteta. Despite his increased involvement, Lewis-Skelly is now among several Arsenal players whose futures have been questioned amid speculation over potential departures.

With the club hierarchy now viewing him primarily as a midfielder, competition for places could further complicate his long-term position in Arteta’s squad.

The England international was also left out of Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad after a lack of regular first-team football during the 2025-26 campaign. Chelsea have been monitoring his situation for several months, and the Blues, in addition to Man Utd, have now reportedly been offered the chance to bring the highly rated youngster to Stamford Bridge, reports Football London.

Sky Sports, on the other hand, understands that it was Chelsea who actively enquired about Lewis-Skelly. The report makes no mention of the Arsenal homegrown being offered to potential suitors.

Jesus future

Napoli need to offload players before they can afford to make an approach for Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian has struggled with injuries over the past couple of years at Arsenal and is now third choice in the centre-forward pecking order behind Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz.

It's looking likely he will leave this summer, with Napoli linked with a €18m approach last week.

Gazzetta dello Sport claims Napoli are trying to raise the funds required to sign Jesus by selling Romelu Lukaku and Noa Lang.

Lukaku is reportedly close to joining Turkish giants Fenerbahce, while Ajax are believed to have identified Lang as a replacement for Mika Godts.

Alvarez alert

Julian Alvarez has asked for crisis talks with Atletico Madrid as he looks to push for a transfer away from the club.

The Argentine has emerged as Barcelona's number one transfer target this summer, though Arsenal have also been credited with a strong interest.

The belief is the player wants to move to the Blaugrana but Atletico insist he is not for sale.

Spanish publication SPORT understands Alvarez has asked for a meeting with Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin to discuss his future.

Yet the same outlet understands that request has been turned down, with Atletico refusing to budge on their position.

England wonderkid signed

Arsenal are reportedly set to complete the signing of England U16 striker Mylo Bernard after the youngster reached an agreement to leave Crystal Palace this summer.

The 16-year-old has been the subject of negotiations between the two clubs for several weeks, with Bernard deciding against extending his schoolboy terms at Selhurst Park. A move to North London has now been agreed, with Arsenal preparing to bring the forward into their academy setup.

According to The Athletic, Bernard will join the Gunners on a training compensation deal ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The teenager is expected to spend his first season with Arsenal playing in the club’s academy.

Bernard enjoyed an impressive campaign at youth level last season, scoring six times in 13 appearances in the U18 Premier League. He has also made eight appearances for England Under-16s, finding the net on four occasions.
