Chelsea have spent the most amount of money of any club in world football so far this summer, with Morgan Rogers notably arriving for a club-record fee of €138 million, Maxence Lacroix signing from Crystal Palace for €60.7m and Marco Palestra joining from Atalanta for €58m. They are also close to finalising deals for experienced duo Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson.

Tottenham Hotspur have spent big too, with €267m splashed on new talent as they look to recover from back-to-back 17th-placed finishes in the Premier League. Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have joined the club for over €200m combined, while Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka have also arrived.

Manchester United have added Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson to their squad ahead of Michal Carrick’s first full season in charge, but they missed out on top target Elliot Anderson to rivals Manchester City.

Enzo Maresca’s side paid a club-record fee of €135m to sign the England midfielder, while they have also completed deals for youngsters Mathys Detourbet, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles.

Rounding off the Premier League’s elite clubs, Arsenal have signed Christos Tzolis, Piero Hincapie and Illan Meslier, while Liverpool have acquired Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Samuel Martinez from Atletico Nacional. They are also in talks over a bombshell deal for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Bradley Barcola.

Elsewhere in Spain, La Liga rivals Real Madrid have brought in Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva following Jose Mourinho’s return to the club, while they could be set to sign Man City midfielder Rodri too.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari following their performances at the World Cup, and AC Milan have backed new manager Ruben Amorim by signing his compatriot Goncalo Ramos from PSG for a whopping €74m.
