The 2026 summer transfer window is in full swing, and numerous blockbuster deals have already been completed.

Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali have left Newcastle for Barcelona and Tottenham, respectively, with the latter also completing a major deal for West Ham starlet Mateus Fernandes.

Man City have made Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson the most expensive British player ever, while Chelsea have signed Italy international Marco Palestra. Liverpool have welcomed Jeremy Jacquet to Anfield after agreeing a deal back in the winter.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid have been very busy indeed, wrapping up deals for Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella as they seek to end their two-year trophy drought.

Many more moves are expected to materialise before the window slams shut again on 1 September. Below, FootballTransfers runs through five deals that could be completed this week...

Ederson to Man Utd

In May and June, Man Utd finally formalised their long-standing interest in Atalanta midfielder Ederson. The Brazilian had been on the club's radar for years, but it took until 2026 for the Red Devils to finally pounce.

Ederson was always bound to be on the move this summer, and it initially looked as though his destination would be Atletico Madrid. However, the Spanish club failed to agree a deal with Atalanta, which allowed Man Utd to swoop in.

The two clubs settled on a €45 million package, but it was agreed that the deal would not be announced until July. Ederson was then belatedly called up to Brazil's World Cup squad, which further delayed the matter.

Now that Brazil have been knocked out, the 27-year-old should be unveiled as a new Man Utd player shortly.

Jeremy Monga to Man City

Leicester City wonderkid Jeremy Monga has been expected to leave the Foxes for some time. He turned down a professional contract after their relegation to League One and is Premier League-bound.

Originally, the 16-year-old appeared to be on the move to Arsenal after picking North London as his favoured destination. However, the Gunners failed to agree a compensation package with Leicester.

Man City thus hijacked the deal, and they are now expected to announce the signing of Monga, who will join for a fee north of €10m.

Sean Steur to Newcastle

Newcastle are desperate to avoid a repeat of last year's disastrous summer transfer window, which is why they are moving quickly to get their deals done this time around.

The departures of Gordon and Tonali have been painful - and captain Bruno Guimaraes could yet follow suit - but the Magpies are not dwelling on their losses. Goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen and winger Bazouma Toure have already joined.

Next up is Ajax wonderkid Sean Steur, a talented central midfielder. Newcastle were long linked with AZ sensation Kees Smit, but they have moved quickly over the past 24 hours to wrap up a deal for his compatriot instead.

The 18-year-old will reportedly set Newcastle back around €27m.

Leandro Trossard to Besiktas

Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard is believed to be on his way to Istanbul after the Gunners agreed a €20m package with Besiktas while he is busy playing at the World Cup.

Trossard reportedly has not yet agreed personal terms with the Super Lig side, so this deal is not as advanced as the others on this list. However, after beating the US on Monday, the Belgian now has a couple of days to mull over his future before his next fixture.

His agent has reportedly travelled to meet with Besiktas, so a final decision may not be long in coming.

Lee Kang-in to Atletico Madrid

PSG attacker Lee Kang-in was essentially playing for a transfer at the World Cup after he struggled to establish himself as a starter in Paris. He certainly impressed in South Korea's first game, but he ultimately fell off, much like the rest of the team.

Nevertheless, he showed enough to convince Atletico Madrid to finalise their deal to sign him. The Spanish giants have reportedly been chasing the 25-year-old for months.

It is believed that Atleti will pay around €40m to sign him from PSG.
