Arsenal ‘very close’ to Rogers personal terms

Arsenal are closing in on a contract agreement with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, with sources indicating that he is “very, very close” to a deal with the Emirates side, FootballTransfers has exclusively revealed.

Rogers is ready to sign a five-year deal with Mikel Arteta’s side, but there are still significant hurdles to be crossed before the transfer is completed.

The Gunners are preparing a first offer to Villa that is set to fall short of their enormous demand of a British record fee for the 23-year-old.

Trossard’s agent meets with Besiktas

Leandro Trossard is closing in on a move to Besiktas that will create room in the Arsenal squad for Rogers.

The Belgium winger’s agent Dirk Hebel travelled to America on Monday to speak to the winger and is now in the process of negotiating personal terms in Istanbul over the move, Resat Can Ozbudak has reported.

Fabrizio Romano has commented on the case, stating: “Leandro Trossard could go to Besiktas. There is an agreement club-to-club: €18 million plus two, but it is waiting on Trossard to decide. A delegation from Besiktas will travel to the US to have an initial conversation with Trossard to present the project and the player doesn't want to decide anything during the tournament.”

Barcelona competition for Kroupi

Arsenal are one of a number of clubs still interested in signing Eli Kroupi from Bournemouth, but the Gunners face fresh competition for the young forward from Barcelona.

Sport claims that Barca are keeping a close eye on the forward as an alternative for Julian Alvarez, though it also states that Tottenham are the club most determined to sign the young attacker.

The Cherries are determined to keep the 20-year-old and have put a price tag of over €100m on the forward.

Guimaraes requests move

Bruno Guimaraes has informed Newcastle of his desire to join Arsenal this summer, according to David Ornstein.

The Brazil international has had his head turned by the Gunners' rejected verbal offer for him last month and is now determined to join the reigning Premier League champions, who are prepared to pay around €70m for him.

Newcastle insist that their captain is not for sale, but it seems that they now have another Alexander Isak scenario on their hands.

Shock White replacement lined up

With the future of Ben White still uncertain, Arsenal have made Aaron Wan-Bissaka a potential alternative.

The Ivory Coast right-back was relegated from the Premier League with West Ham at the end of the 2026/27 season but with the Hammers in need of sales to cut costs in the Championship, TeamTalk reports that he has become an option for the Gunners.

Barcola given Arsenal instruction

PSG winger Bradley Barcola is one of the players linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, but the France international has been told to snub interest from the London side by Marcel Desailly.

Speaking to Sportcasting, Desailly said: “Barcola doesn’t need to leave PSG.

“I never expected Didier to swap him with Desire Doue. He has really given him a chance – and he’s been rewarded for it. I thought that for Barcola to start and play 90 minutes at the international level, he wouldn’t do it because Barcola is too light on defensive discipline.

“So, should he move to the Premier League? Not yet. Not yet at all. Sorry Arsenal and Liverpool fans. He should stay at Paris Saint-Germain, play 25 games a season, and grow within that system.”
