Van Hecke says yes to Spurs

Tottenham have ramped up their pursuit of Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, according to David Ornstein.

The Netherlands international is believed to be a key target for Chelsea, but it is Spurs who are now pushing to sign him. An opening bid has been rejected by Brighton.

Van Hecke is believed to be keen on the move. He has a close relationship with his former Seagulls boss Roberto de Zerbi. Brighton reportedly value the centre-back at €80 million.

Yohanna hijack?

Chelsea have entered the race for AIK wonderkid Zadok Yohanna, according to Sky Germany.

The 18-year-old is currently the subject of a tug-of-war between Brighton and Newcastle. Brighton saw a €23m bid rejected for the teenage attacker and have lodged an improved €24m offer.

Reports of an agreement on Wednesday were played down, with the race to sign Yohanna still open. Chelsea are now also named as being among the youngster's suitors.

Chelsea want Vlahovic

Chelsea are interested in signing departing Juventus striker, TEAMtalk claims.

The Serbia international will leave the Bianconeri after failing to find common ground with the club on a contract extension. Negotiations had dragged on for more than a year, but the two parties were unable to agree terms.

Vlahovic was on a gigantic salary - the largest in Serie A - that Juve were no longer willing to pay. His departure from the club has been announced, and suitors are now stepping up their interest in Vlahovic. Chelsea are among the clubs exploring a move.

Svilar again linked

AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar is once again being linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Serbian was associated with a move away from the Giallorossi last year, but nothing materialised. Corriere dello Sport now writes that he is again attracting interest, with Chelsea among his suitors.

It is claimed that the Blues would be prepared to pay as much as €50m for the goalkeeper. However, Roma are not interested in a deal. They have come to the conclusion that Svilar is one of their most important players and that he is not for sale.
