City hijack Bouaddi

Man City are mulling over making a tempting offer for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Instead of trying to sign the 18-year-old immediately, like Arsenal and Chelsea are planning to, Man City are prepared to let the Morocco international stay at Lille for another season.

The Cityzens have a "genuine" interest and are serious contenders to sign him, despite the record-breaking acquisition of Elliot Anderson. Arsenal are also in talks with Bouaddi, but City's offer may be more attractive to Lille.

Hjulmand can move

Sporting CP are set to sign Sergi Altimira from Real Betis, which means that captain Morten Hjulmand has been given the all-clear to move on.

The Denmark international is expected to be on the market for €50 million this summer, and Sporting will not stand in his way. They are appreciative of the fact that he did not jump ship last year.

Arsenal and Man Utd have both been linked with the 26-year-old. Last month, it was reported that the Gunners had been "in touch" with his camp. Hjulmand is a boyhood fan of the club and even has the Arsenal badge tattooed on his arm.

Exclusive: Guimaraes permission given

FootballTransfers understands that Bruno Guimaraes has given Arsenal permission to hold talks with Newcastle over a summer transfer.

The Gunners recently made a verbal offer for the Brazil international, which came about after he had given the club the green light to discuss a move. Arsenal wanted to secure buy-in from the player before approaching Newcastle.

The offer was knocked back, but the Gunners are expected to return with an improved bid. Newcastle insist that the 28-year-old is not for sale this summer.

Arsenal track Mora

Arsenal are among the clubs tracking Tijuana and Mexico sensation Gilberto Mora, El Universal reports.

The 17-year-old is the youngest player at this year's World Cup and just signed a "historic" new deal with Tijuana, which the Liga MX side billed as the "biggest contract in club history."

The club also announced that the contract contains an exit mechanism that allows the youngster to pursue a move to Europe after turning 18 later this year. One of the biggest talents in world football, Mora is being closely followed by Arsenal, Man Utd, Real Madrid and more.
