Arsenal could be handed a golden opportunity to complete a stunning raid on a Premier League rival for three of their best players this summer.

The Gunners will be hoping to have another evolutionary summer of squad building similar to last summer where they spent nearly €300 million to bring in the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi.

The signings have proven instrumental in Arsenal creating a lead at the top of the Premier League table and Mikel Arteta is determined to ensure his side continue to build a squad capable of becoming a dynasty in both domestic and European football.

Arsenal have already started work on their plans for the summer transfer window and their targets are believed to include Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento and Sandro Tonali, all of whom could be sold by Newcastle this summer if Eddie Howe’s side fail to qualify for the Champions League.

That is according to the BBC who state that a loss of the financial benefits involved with Champions League football will result in a ‘need’ to sell ‘at least one, potentially two’ star players this summer.

Newcastle currently sit 12th in the table, seven points outside the top five, and in significant danger of missing out on European football altogether for next season, which could lead to further departures.

Gordon, Livramento and Tonali set to command strong summer interest from Premier League giants

Of all three players, FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal hold the strongest interest in Gordon and a bid is expected to be made for the England international, with a new left-winger described as a ‘priority position’ to strengthen this summer for Arteta.

FootballTransfers has also been told that Arsenal are hoping to beat Manchester City to the signing of Livramento as a potential replacement for Benjamin White, who is expected to leave the Emirates this summer.

Tonali is a player that Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign, while the midfielder’s agent was vocal over preliminary talks with the Gunners during the January transfer window.

However, while Tonali is in hot demand, it remains to be seen where the Italian ends up, with neither Arsenal, nor the strongly-linked Manchester United, thought to consider him a top target.

Newcastle, would ideally like to keep hold of all three of their stars but they are aware they could raise as much as €200m from the sale of their three stars, although Livramento could be the most likely to depart due to his contract expiring in 2028.

Tonali and Gordon, like Livramento, have not pushed for departures yet but Newcastle will be keen to resolve their futures early in the window to avoid a repeat of the Alexander Isak saga which plagued their summer last year.
