Man Utd rival Real Madrid for their next €100m forward

Manchester United are reportedly among the clubs keeping a close eye on Bournemouth forward Rayan following his impressive start to life in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old joined Andoni Iraola’s side for €28.5 million during the recent winter transfer window, after the sale of Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City, and he has scored two goals and provided one assist in seven English top flight appearances so far.

Rayan, a versatile attacker who can play across the forward line, has started Bournemouth’s last six matches in the Premier League and his form is being closely monitored by Liverpool, Man Utd, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Bournemouth aren’t yet concerned by transfer interest in their January signing.

It’s reported that Bournemouth included a €100m release clause in Rayan’s contract upon his arrival from Vasco da Gama, and they view the Brazilian as a key part of their future following the departure of the aforementioned Semenyo.

However, interest in the teenager has already spiked amid his recent form and the Cherries are therefore likely to face an “increasingly difficult task” in retaining his services.

Rayan to join Man Utd?

Rayan was used in a variety of positions during his time at Vasco da Gama, but he has mostly been deployed as a right winger by Iraola since his move to the Vitality Stadium.

However, he started on the left flank during their 0-0 draw against Burnley on Saturday and this is likely the role he would be required to play if he joins Man Utd.

The Red Devils already have Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo as right winger options, and interim boss Michael Carrick has confirmed that his side will look to strengthen their roster on the opposite flank during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Yan Diomande and Anthony Gordon are understood to both be on Man Utd’s radar, while the club are also seemingly eyeing a possible move for Rayan too.
