Aston Villa are keen to make Fulham star Harry Wilson and Celta Vigo defender Oscar Mingueza their next summer signings.

The Birmingham club endured a dire 2025 summer window due to growing tension between manager Unai Emery and director Monchi. The latter ultimately left the club, with his successor Roberto Olabe forced to rectify his predecessor's mistakes in January.

Tammy Abraham, Douglas Luiz and Alysson were signed, while Evann Guessand was offloaded to Crystal Palace after just six months. With Champions League qualification looking increasingly likely, planning for an ambitious - and less panicky - summer 2026 is now in full swing.

One signing was already wrapped up by Monchi last year. Young defender Modou Keba Cisse was snapped up from LASK in mid-July for €5.5 million but left at the Austrian club for another season.

Now, the Villans have identified their next two recruits, according to reports. Fabrizio Romano states that Emery and Olabe are trying to lure Fulham talisman Wilson to Villa Park, while TEAMtalk claims that Celta Vigo's Mingueza is also on their radar.

Villa want Wilson and Mingueza

Both players are on expiring contracts and free to choose their next clubs. 28-year-old Wilson is enjoying a remarkable campaign at Fulham, scoring worldie after worldie for Marco Silva's side.

The versatile attacker has notched 10 goals and seven assists across all competitions this season. Romano asserts that initial discussions have already taken place, although Villa can't formally agree a pre-contract with him until the final month of his deal.

Silva confirmed on Monday that it will be hard for Fulham to keep Wilson due to his brilliant form. "The better he is going to play, the fight is going to be bigger," he said. "It's clear, but we prefer it this way."

Mingueza, meanwhile, has been a standout player in LaLiga for some time. With Celta Vigo one of the big surprises of the season, the 26-year-old's contract situation has attracted widespread attention.

The full-back has contributed five assists and a goal this term. The Spain international is "one of the most in-demand prospective free agents," with other Premier League clubs, as well as sides in Italy and Germany, chasing his signature.
