Nicolas Jackson wanted

Man Utd are reportedly among the clubs keeping close tabs on Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich.

Vincent Kompany’s side have decided against signing him on a permanent deal and with Jackson set to be on the market ahead of the 2026-27 season, several teams are keeping close tabs on his current situation.

That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, who claim that Aston Villa, Man Utd, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing the 24-year-old when the upcoming summer transfer window opens.

Jackson’s representatives are reportedly already in talks with intermediaries regarding a potential summer deal, while the Chelsea hierarchy are aware that a permanent sale could be the best option for all parties.

Alessandro Bastoni added to wishlist

Man Utd are leading the race to sign Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, according to a shock report from Fichajes.

The Red Devils are keen to bolster their backline this summer and they have reportedly earmarked the Italy international as a key target amid his immense form at San Siro.

However, it will cost around €100 million to secure his signature as Inter have no intention of sanctioning a sale.

Michael Carrick ‘favourite’ for permanent job

Michael Carrick is emerging as the favourite candidate to become Man Utd’s new manager on a full-time basis after an impressive start to life at Old Trafford.

Carrick was appointed as interim manager in January following Ruben Amorim’s sacking and he began his tenure by leading United to four-straight wins for the first time in two years, including impressive victories against Manchester City and Arsenal.

United had initially only expected Carrick to be a safe pair of hands until the end of the season but The i Paper reports that he now stands ‘as good a chance as any’ to get the job permanently.

Karl Etta Eyong rejects transfer

Man Utd striker target Karl Etta Eyong has decided to reject the advances of CSKA Moscow, despite Levante’s desire to sell him.

The Cameroon international has scored six goals and provided three assists in 22 La Liga appearances so far this season, and CSKA Moscow have been attempting to sign him for several months.

Fabio Celestini’s side have submitted a €30 million offer for his services and Levante are keen to offload the 22-year-old on a permanent deal before the Russian winter transfer window closes on 19 February.

However, Eyong has no intention of moving to CSKA Moscow and he is instead aiming to secure a summer transfer amid interest from Arsenal, Barcelona, Man Utd and Real Madrid, as per Ben Jacobs on X.

Jadon Sancho update

Man Utd flop Jadon Sancho is being considered for a return to the Bundesliga if his current club opt against activating a contract extension clause, according to Sportsboom.

Sancho signed a five-year contract with the option for a sixth season when he joined in 2021 for an €85 million transfer fee. The club would take a massive loss if he leaves on a free, but they may not want to spend another season paying him nearly €230,000 per week.

The 25-year-old has been loaned out three different times in his five seasons at Old Trafford. He returned to Borussia Dortmund - the club Man Utd signed him from - in 2023/24, spent last season on loan at Chelsea, and has been at Aston Villa since the beginning of this campaign.

Dortmund are reportedly interested in bringing him back to the club, while Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be monitoring the player.

Marcus Rashford regret

Marcus Rashford’s loan agreement with Barcelona is a source of ‘regret’ for Man Utd, and the Old Trafford side are absolutely right to lament a costly mistake they made last summer.

In the aftermath of a fallout with former Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim in late 2024, Rashford was shunted out of the club on loan last summer in a deal struck with Barcelona.

Included in that agreement was a buyout fee worth €30 million for the Catalan side – a figure that the Red Devils lament as being much too low, according to a report from the Daily Star.
