Habib Beye set to take charge at Marseille

Marseille have reached an agreement to appoint Habib Beye as head coach until the end of the season,” Romano confirmed to his YouTube channel.

“The former Rennes manager is set to replace Roberto De Zerbi, who left the club a few days ago.

“It is another change in what has already been a chaotic year for managers, and the summer is expected to bring even more movement across Europe and at international level.”

Manchester United and Chelsea play down Jurgen Klopp links

Romano denied that Jurgen Klopp will be making a spectacular return to the Premier League.

“Recent comments from the agent of Jurgen Klopp suggested that both Manchester United and Chelsea made approaches when Klopp announced his departure from Liverpool,” Romano noted.

“However, both clubs have firmly denied any advanced or concrete discussions.

“Klopp was very clear publicly that he wanted time away from management after many intense years at Liverpool.

“He remains fully committed to his role within the Red Bull project.

“Regarding Real Madrid, there is admiration for Klopp from certain figures within the board, but at this stage there are no direct negotiations or formal steps.”

Bukayo Saka signs new long-term Arsenal contract

Arsenal have been celebrating a new deal for Bukayo Saka.

Romano confirmed: “Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract at Arsenal, with the deal now completed and only the official announcement pending.

“The agreement includes an improved salary, reflecting Arsenal’s strategy of rewarding their key players.

“Following renewals such as David Raya, the club are also expected to address the situation of Declan Rice.

“This is considered a major positive step for Arsenal as they secure one of their most important players long term.”

Marcus Rashford future depends on financial negotiations

As for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, his switch to Barcelona is not yet secured.

Romano explained: “The situation of Marcus Rashford remains open ahead of the summer.

Barcelona are very happy with his performances and attitude under Hansi Flick and would like to keep him permanently.

“There is a buy option clause set at €30 million, but Barcelona would prefer to negotiate the fee with Manchester United.

“The financial aspect is crucial, not only the transfer fee but also Rashford’s salary structure in a long-term contract.

“From Manchester United’s side, the position is clear: the €30m clause was agreed last summer and remains valid.

“Talks between the clubs and discussions regarding salary terms will determine whether a permanent deal can be reached.”

Leon Goretzka to leave Bayern as free agent

Despite rumours, Leon Goretzka has yet to agree terms with Manchester United as a free agent, and there is plenty of interest in the departing Bayern star.

Leon Goretzka will leave Bayern as a free agent in the summer, and interest is already building across Europe.

“Clubs in Italy, including Napoli and Milan, are monitoring the situation.

“There have also been enquiries from the Premier League, but despite rumours, there is no pre-agreement with Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid and Tottenham both explored the possibility in January, and the expectation is that competition for his signature will increase.

“At this stage, Goretzka’s preference would be to explore a move abroad, with several options expected to develop as the summer window approaches.”
