A plethora of players have already been linked with an Old Trafford switch this summer and the club are set to prioritise the signing of a new central midfielder following confirmation that Casemiro will depart on a Bosman deal when his current contract expires in July.

Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes have also been tipped to leave the club later this year, and INEOS are therefore expected to add at least one central midfielder to their ranks before the 2026-27 campaign gets underway.

Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba have both been touted as serious options for Man Utd, however the club have identified the aforementioned Anderson as their priority target, according to multiple reports.

The England international has been a standout performer at the City Ground over the past 12 months and he is set to be the subject of a transfer bidding war this summer amid significant interest from both Man Utd and Manchester City.

Man Utd chase triple deal

TEAMtalk now claim that Man Utd are interested in a blockbuster triple deal involving Anderson, Gibbs-White and Murillo.

The Nottingham Forest trio have been identified as key targets by the Red Devils board and they are reportedly ready to pursue deals for all three players this summer.

It’s understood that Anderson will cost at least €115m (£100m) and Murillo is expected to command a fee of €57m (£50m).

Meanwhile, Gibbs-White will 100% leave Vitor Pereira’s side if they are relegated back down to the Championship, as per TEAMtalk, although interested clubs will still be required to pay his €92m (£80m) release clause.

As a result, Man Utd could be required to sanction a summer spending spree just shy of €265m to land the Nottingham Forest trio ahead of next season.
