Arsenal ready to agree FIRST summer sale
Arsenal have offered Barcelona the chance to sign Benjamin White during the 2026 summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
The England defender has fallen behind Jurrien Timber in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium over the past 12 months and Mikel Arteta’s side are now willing to sanction a sale ahead of next season.
That is according to a report from Fichajes, who claim that Barcelona have been given the opportunity to agree a deal for White amid concerns surrounding Jules Kounde’s current form at right-back.
The Blaugrana hierarchy reportedly believe that White would be a smart summer addition and his €30 million price tag is regarded as reasonable by the cash-strapped Spanish giants.
White has only started five Premier League matches so far this season and he has already been an unused substitute on 16 occasions in the English top flight this term.
As a result, the 28-year-old is understood to be assessing his options ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, with a move to Barcelona reportedly of interest to the former Brighton & Hove Albion defender.
Arsenal to sell Ben White?
Fichajes report that Arsenal are ready to offload White this summer and Barcelona are expected to make a decision on whether to pursue a deal over the next few weeks.
If White is sold, Arsenal are likely to target a suitable replacement and FootballTransfers has been informed that Newcastle United full-back Valentino Livramento features prominently on the Gunners’ summer wishlist.
We also understand that his club team-mate Sandro Tonali is also wanted by Arteta this summer after the north London giants’ failed attempt to sign him in January.
Bolstering their attack is a key priority for Arsenal too, with AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito both being closely monitored by the club.
