Arsenal forced to pay €120m for Mikel Arteta's DREAM signing
RB Leipzig have no intention of selling Yan Diomande this month and insist that a bid of €120 million may be needed to sign him before the end of the January transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international has enjoyed a spectacular start to life with Ole Werner’s side, following his arrival from Leganes last summer, and his form has attracted the attention of multiple elite European clubs.
Diomande has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances for Leipzig so far this season, and he has also found the back of the net on three occasions for his country, including the second during their 3-0 victory over Burkina Faso in the Africa Cup of Nations last-16 on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old is wanted by Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, while The Athletic state that Arsenal are also keeping close tabs on his development, despite the recent addition of Noni Madueke.
The Ivorian starlet is reportedly regarded as the Gunners’ top attacking target and the current Premier League leaders are eager to add him to their ranks this year amid their continued pursuit of first-team reinforcements.
Yan Diomande handed January price tag
Diomande is capable of playing on either flank and reports have suggested that a fee of €100m will be required to sign him this summer.
If any interested club wants to secure his signature before the end of January, however, it will cost a minimum of €120m, as per a bombshell report from TEAMtalk.
As a result, Diomande is extremely unlikely to leave Leipzig this month, with a transfer battle instead expected to take place later this year amid significant interest in his services from across Europe.
His Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at just over €25m, but this figure is expected to rise sharply before the end of the 2025-26 season due to his excellent recent form.
