Arda Guler targeted by Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool – here’s the clear winner
Real Madrid attacker Arda Guler has become one of the most coveted players of the transfer market and has Premier League giants Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool all vying for his signature.
Guler finds himself a victim of the churn at Real Madrid, where the domination of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior leaves little space for others to break into the starting XI.
The 20-year-old has featured 22 times this season, amassing three goals and seven assists across all competitions, but after beginning the season as a regular in the starting XI, he has found himself increasingly pushed towards the bench.
Seduced by the player’s technical ability, speed and versatility, Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool are all examining the prospect of signing him, Fichajes reports.
Though Guler has been an ever-present for Real Madrid this season, Xabi Alonso’s side are not sold on retaining him. While they see him as a potential star in the medium term, a big offer immediately could see him depart.
While that might mean one of the Premier League giants smashing his €64.8 million Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), a deal should not be ruled out.
Arda Guler: Which Premier League club is he best suited to?
Arda Guler is set to have his pick of top Premier League sides. Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool make for an interesting variety, but according to SciSports’ Career Advice tool, there is one outstanding choice for the Turk from this trio.
SciSports bases its algorithm over several key metrics, including potential development, playing time, playing style and formation. Using these, it calculates a Club Fit score. The higher this is, the better the chance is of being a success.
Man Utd come out on top based on SciSports’ calculations when ambition and playing time are balanced. Ruben Amorim’s side can offer him both playing time and a style that suits him, although there are big question marks over his development and the formation of the Portuguese.
Still, a Club Fit score of 71 suggests that Guler can be a hit at Old Trafford.
Coming second is Liverpool. Arne Slot’s side offers better development opportunities for Guler but fewer chances to make an immediate mark and in a less ideal environment in terms of style and formation.
Finally, Arsenal bring up the rear with a Club Fit score of 62. While Guler would have the best chance of reaching the best version of himself at the Emirates, there is little else to commend such a move, in SciSports’ opinion.
The Turk has one better option than Man Utd in England, with Aston Villa the standout option with a Club Fit score of 76. Unai Emery’s side get two stars for development, four for playing time and three each for style and formation.
