Liverpool on the verge of agreeing deal with €106m star
Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of finalising a new contract with Netherlands international Ryan Gravenberch.
The 23-year-old, who moved to Anfield from Bayern Munich for a fee of €40 million in 2023, has established himself as an integral member of Arne Slot’s side over the past 12 months and the Reds are now eager to agree a contract extension.
Gravenberch’s current deal at Liverpool is due to expire at the end of June 2028, but talks over fresh terms are well underway.
In fact, transfer expert Nicolo Schira has confirmed that a contract extension will be signed shortly.
He posted on X: “Ryan Gravenberch is getting closer and closer to extend his contract with Liverpool for a long-term. Ready a new deal until 2030 or 2031. Last details on the length.
“A Saudi Club had submitted a huge bid to the Dutchman last summer, but he turned it down to stay at Liverpool.”
Gravenberch, who currently boasts an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €106m, has scored three goals and provided two assists in 12 games across all competitions so far this season and he has arguably been Liverpool’s standout performer in a difficult start to the new campaign.
Liverpool locked in contract talks
In addition to Gravenberch, Liverpool are also in contract extension talks with Ibrahima Konate, who is currently set to leave the club on a Bosman deal next summer.
The France international is into the final year of his deal at Anfield and the club are yet to finalise an agreement to extend his stay in Merseyside.
Real Madrid are eager to reach an agreement to sign him on a free transfer in 2026, although Liverpool remain keen to tie Konate down to fresh terms.
If the Frenchman agrees a deal with Real Madrid, Liverpool are expected to target a deal for Marc Guehi after failing to bring him to Anfield this year.
