Chelsea receive €100m Enzo Fernandez transfer update as Real Madrid circle
Chelsea have been handed a major Enzo Fernandez transfer boost following news that Real Madrid are reportedly ready to submit a €100 million offer for Vitinha.
Fernandez, 24, has been earmarked as a dream midfield signing by the Real Madrid hierarchy and he has continuously been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu since the beginning of 2025.
Multiple outlets in Spain have revealed that Xabi Alonso is keen to bring the Chelsea star to Los Blancos next year, but a deal has always looked extremely unlikely due to the fact his current contract at Stamford Bridge isn’t due to expire until 2032.
In fact, Real Madrid now appear to have shifted their focus away from finalising a blockbuster deal for Fernandez as they are reportedly eager to land Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha instead.
Real Madrid chase PSG’s Vitinha
It was recently reported that Alonso’s side were set to submit an offer for Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister during the upcoming January transfer window, but Spanish publication Fichajes claim that Vitinha is, in fact, their preferred target.
It has been reported that Real Madrid are ready to lodge a bid worth €100m in an attempt to acquire the Portugal international’s signature next summer.
However, they may reportedly be forced to increase this offer to around €130m as PSG are understandably reluctant to allow one of their most prized assets to depart the club next year.
In addition, his current deal at the Parc des Princes runs until 2029, after he penned a lucrative contract extension in February, meaning PSG are under no pressure to sell.
Real Madrid have also been linked with the likes of Adam Wharton, Angelo Stiller, Kees Smit, Joao Neves, Kobbie Mainoo and Rodri in recent months, with the club evidently eager to bolster their options in midfield following the departure of Luka Modric on a Bosman deal in July.
