Aston Villa star CONFIRMS next transfer
Aston Villa star Matty Cash has declared that he will complete a move to Polish club Legia Warsaw in 2029.
The Poland international has enjoyed a stellar start to the 2025-26 campaign and he was rewarded with a bumper new four-year contract at Villa Park in late October.
Cash’s new deal now runs until 2029 and he has insisted that he remains extremely happy with Unai Emery’s side.
However, the 28-year-old, who has scored two goals in 11 Premier League appearances so far this season, has confirmed that he will look to join Legia Warsaw when his current Aston Villa contract expires.
Matty Cash reveals Aston Villa transfer plan
“I had a few offers this summer,” Cash told WP SportoweFakty while on international duty with Poland.
“A few names were mentioned in the media, from the Premier League and abroad. From the beginning, however, I thought about staying at Aston Villa.”
He added: “I like it here, I'm developing. Last year we were in the Champions League, and we're still competing in European competitions. I'm about to reach 200 appearances for the club, I still have five more to go.
“I have goals to achieve here. And in four years, I'm going to Legia Warsaw!
When asked if he was being serious, Cash replied: “I remember their great fans. I'm staying put at Villa for now. We have a great coach. He believes in me. We quickly agreed on a new contract.
“Unai Emery is a brilliant tactician, a very brilliant and intelligent coach. He understands the game, can help you develop yourself, can develop the team. Working with him is a pleasure. He's the best coach I've ever had in my career. And Jan Urban [Poland boss].”
Cash has made 195 first-team appearances for Aston Villa since his move from Nottingham Forest in 2020, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €22.8 million.
