TRANSFER RUMOURS: Chelsea receive €100m update as Man Utd target deal
The transfer window is currently closed, however the rumour mill continues to churn and there were several major developments on 26 October.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from the day.
Kenan Yildiz to Chelsea?
Fabrizio Romano has given Chelsea a positive update in their quest to sign Kenan Yildiz from Juventus.
The Turkey international wonderkid is wanted by a plethora of top European clubs and Juventus have slapped a €100 million price tag on his head in an attempt to ward off increasing interest in his signature.
However, a transfer could still be on the cards, as per Romano. He told his YouTube channel: “There are many rumours - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich - but also Premier League clubs keeping a close eye. Juventus are doing everything they can to extend his contract, but as of now, no agreement has been reached. Talks are ongoing, and Juve are pushing hard to keep him, but the situation remains open.
Man Utd offer
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim wants to solve his midfield problems by signing Jobe Bellingham on loan from Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window.
Bellingham was a target for the Red Devils prior to the summer, but he opted to follow in the footsteps of his big brother Jude by making the move to Bundesliga club Dortmund.
However, the England U21 international has struggled to find his best form since moving to Germany, and Man Utd hope to take advantage of this situation by signing him on loan, according to The Express.
Arsenal transfer war
Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus is reportedly the subject of a transfer “war” between Brazilian clubs Palmeiras and Flamengo.
Jesus has been described as Palmeiras’ dream signing by the club’s president Leila Pereira, while Flamengo are also eager to bring him back to his homeland next year as they look to bolster their attacking roster.
This has been confirmed by Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claim that the two clubs are now at “war” over the signing of Jesus.
Chelsea eye Kees Smit
Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing AZ Alkmaar wonderkid Kees Smit in 2026.
The Netherlands U21 international is regarded as one of the best young prospects in European football and he has been widely tipped to leave AZ Alkmaar next year amid significant transfer interest from a number of elite teams across the continent.
In fact, TBR Football state that Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham, Newcastle United, RB Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspur are all monitoring his development.
Robert Lewandowski update
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is eager to finalise a deal for Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski in 2026, however co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has blocked a prospective transfer, as per The Mirror.
The Poland international is set to become a free agent next summer, with Barcelona unwilling to extend his current contract, and he has been tipped to complete a blockbuster move to Old Trafford.
However, Ratcliffe has decided to veto a potential transfer.
