Harry Kane's wife holds key to blockbuster Premier League return
Katie Kane, the wife of Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane, holds the key to a potential return to the Premier League, according to a report.
The England captain is frequently associated with a move back home, having excelled in the Bundesliga since his 2023 transfer from Tottenham. Kane has netted an eye-watering 105 goals in 109 games, while also providing 29 assists.
The striker has become such a well-rounded player in Germany that many feel he could conceivably break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record should he opt to return.
Tottenham would welcome the 32-year-old with open arms. Head coach Thomas Frank has made no secret of the fact that he would love to have the Spurs legend at his disposal, and the North London giants do have the option of first refusal on their former player.
Kane has a €65 million release clause in his contract that he himself must trigger in January if he wishes to complete a summer move, but there are no credible indications that he is thinking about leaving Bayern anytime soon.
Katie Kane to keep Harry in Germany
In fact, Bayern are already thinking about extending his contract, which still runs until 2027. Kane has repeatedly made it clear how settled and happy he is in Munich.
The same goes for his wife Katie, according to BILD. The German outlet claims that she could be Bayern's 'trump card' in their bid to extend the star striker's contract.
It is said that Katie is loving life in Germany because the Kane family is afforded much more privacy than in England. The report asserts that they can lead an 'almost completely normal family life' in Munich.
"The way the people welcomed us was extraordinary," Harry recently said himself. "It touched us deeply as a family - not just me, but all of us. The children go to school and love it. My wife feels very comfortable, too. We truly enjoy every second of it."
