Erling Haaland drops HUGE transfer hint amid Barcelona interest
Barcelona target Erling Haaland dropped a major transfer hint during Manchester City’s Premier League clash against Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
The 25-year-old has been described as the Blaugrana’s “dream” transfer target by the Spanish press in recent weeks, and president Joan Laporta is expected to pursue a deal during the 2026 summer window.
However, Haaland still has nine years remaining on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, having signed a long-term contract extension in January, and he has now suggested that he has no intention of leaving the club.
Haaland netted his 12th goal of the season to open the scoring against Brentford on Sunday afternoon, with the Norwegian overpowering Sepp van den Berg before smashing the ball past Caoimhin Kelleher with his left foot.
Following a jubilant celebration with the away fans, Haaland patted the Man City badge on his shirt several times to demonstrate his love for the club. In the process of this action, he also hinted that joining Barcelona is not currently on his mind.

What has Pep Guardiola said about Barcelona’s interest in Erling Haaland?
Ahead of Man City’s clash against Brentford, Pep Guardiola commented on speculation linking his star player with a blockbuster move to his former club Barcelona.
He told reporters (via the Manchester Evening News): “I think Erling isn’t stupid enough to sign something he doesn’t want to accomplish, that is for sure. But it's football, who knows what is going to happen. Nobody knows.”
Guardiola added: “Can you tell me one club that wouldn’t dream of Erling Haaland?
“I understand Barcelona dream of Erling, and all the clubs in the world. If Erling would not be with us it would be a dream for Man City [to] have Erling.
“Honestly, I don’t know what is going to happen. I know he has a long contract here, and I think he’s doing really well and scoring a lot of goals.
“I had the feeling the team helps him a lot and gives him a lot of actions where he is able to score a goal.”
