Arsenal and Man Utd fight for wonderkid with BEST-IN-THE-WORLD potential
Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs interested in Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, according to a report.
The 17-year-old has emerged as one of France's biggest talents over the past 12 months. Bouaddi started seven of Lille's 10 Champions League games last term and played over 1000 minutes in Ligue 1.
Due to his youth, Lille made sure to manage his game time, and he wasn't always a guaranteed starter, which is to be expected for a player who doesn't turn 18 until early October.
Bouaddi's talent is undeniable, and he has the potential to become one of the best players in the world. Data analytics firm SciSports currently ranks him third among teenage central midfielders in terms of potential, only bettered by Warren Zaire-Emery and Lucas Bergvall.
Unsurprisingly, then, Bouaddi has appeared on the radar of Europe's biggest clubs, including Premier League heavyweights, and is likely to be among the most sought-after players in 2026.
Arsenal, Man Utd want Bouaddi
According to TEAMtalk, the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool are all keeping tabs on Bouaddi's development and have been scouting him intensively in recent times.
However, the report claims that AC Milan have already 'positioned themselves' to make a potential move for the France youth international, confident that they could lure him to Serie A.
The interest from Milan dates back to last season when then-coach Paulo Fonseca recommended the wonderkid during his ill-fated stint with the Rossoneri, having seen his rise first hand at Lille.
Premier League clubs hope that the division's attractiveness and financial muscle will give them an edge over Milan and his other suitors, while Lille want to extend his contract beyond 2027.
Bouaddi penned his first professional contract with Lille in August 2023 at just 15 years of age and extended his terms until 2027 last summer.
