New Sancho exit route as Man Utd flop receives FIVE MILLION transfer pleas
Jadon Sancho's links with Besiktas have caused a stir in Turkey, but the Manchester United outcast looks to be on his way to Italy instead.
The former England star is still no closer to having his future resolved, despite the fact that talks over a move have been ongoing all summer. A host of clubs have expressed an interest, but he remains on the books at Man Utd for the time being.
Juventus have held the most concrete talks over a move, with Sancho understood to be keen on heading to Turin. However, the Bianconeri are struggling to raise the necessary funds because they are incapable of shifting unwanted players like Dusan Vlahovic and Nico Gonzalez.
Sancho's former club Borussia Dortmund have also explored a transfer. Again, the player is very open to this possibility, but they do not view him as a priority, as they want to get back to the 'Dortmund Way' of primarily signing young players with high potential.
It is a similar story at Inter. They appreciate Sancho, but he will only become a credible target if they miss out on Ademola Lookman. In recent days, a move to Turkey has also been touted, and it has caused quite a stir.
Rome or Istanbul for Sancho?
Super Lig giants Besiktas have been linked with Sancho, and their outspoken fanbase has certainly made itself heard - at least on social media. The 25-year-old's latest Instagram post has been bombarded with an incredible five million comments, most of which express some variation of 'Come to Besiktas.'
However, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, a move to the Bosphorus is currently not being given any thought by Sancho. It could become a last resort if all other avenues remain blocked, but for now, the winger is determined to stay in a top-five league.
A new exit route is currently emerging in Italy's capital, where AS Roma have started exploring the conditions of a potential deal. According to journalist Eleonora Trotta, the Giallorossi have enquired about Sancho.
At present, they consider the combination of a €20 million transfer fee and an annual wage of €6m too expensive, but they will continue to monitor Sancho's situation to see if an opportunity for a cheaper deal materialises.
Indeed, it is claimed that the name of Sancho could 'gain traction' in the final days of the window as far as Roma are concerned.
