Chelsea have put a €30 million asking price on Tyrique George amid talks with AS Roma, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The highly-rated 19-year-old attacker is set to become the latest homegrown victim of Chelsea's high-volume player trading model, with George expected to depart the club before the 1 September deadline.

The teenage winger, who can also play centrally, is regarded as one of the biggest talents to have come out of Chelsea's academy in recent years, but fierce competition for minutes and the Blues' need to raise funds will see him depart.

In a bid to get people off the books, Chelsea have started to include players in certain deals, and they recently obliged Borussia Dortmund to loan Aaron Anselmino as part of their deal to sign Carney Chukwuemeka.

George has been mentioned during discussions with RB Leipzig over Xavi Simons, and the Bundesliga side are interested in the young attacker. However, the most concrete talks over a move have so far taken place with Roma.

The problem for Roma is that this deal appears quite difficult to pull off. That is because Chelsea are demanding as much as €30 million for the 19-year-old, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Unsurprisingly, this is a fee that exceeds the Serie A side's current budget, and it is also not really in line with the youngster's Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), which currently stands at €17.3m.

Chelsea are demanding a permanent deal with add-ons and a significant sell-on clause and have no intention to sanction a loan as they only have one international loan spot available.

Romano adds that George has also received approaches from two Premier League clubs as well as sides from Germany, with Leipzig's interest well-established.
