The FOUR players Chelsea are currently trying to sign
Chelsea currently have a shortlist of at least four attackers they are targeting, according to a report.
Due to the Club World Cup, the Blues got the majority of their business done early this summer. However, Chelsea are never not attentive to the market, and they clearly feel that there is more business to be done.
Despite already bringing in seven players to the tune of €244 million, the Stamford Bridge club remain keen to wheel and deal, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
Striker Nicolas Jackson falls into the latter category, with Man Utd seriously considering a move for him. There have been discussions over Alejandro Garnacho potentially going the other way, and he is one of the four names currently being targeted by Chelsea, according to Sky Sports.
Moreover, earlier on Monday, it was revealed that Chelsea had opened talks with the camp of RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons to collect information on whether a move would be feasible this summer. The Dutchman's price is believed to have dropped below €70m.
Chelsea also want Rogers and Yildiz
Additionally, reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims that Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz and Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers are two names currently being examined by the Club World Cup winners.
Chelsea have been repeatedly linked with Yildiz over the past months, but Juventus are desperate to keep hold of him and would likely demand a fee in the region of €90m-€100m.
As for Rogers, he is believed to be more attainable, albeit not on a cut-price deal, due to Aston Villa's financial situation. The Birmingham club are thought to be required to sell key assets to avoid falling foul of financial regulations.
Chelsea will likely have many more players on their shortlist, but their interest in these four names shows that they are keen to add another attacker to their side. Any incoming, however, will likely hinge on a departure.
