Crystal Palace drop Eberechi Eze to Arsenal HINT
Crystal Palace have unveiled their new home kit for the upcoming season, but Eberechi Eze was not included in the promotional material amid his ongoing talks with Arsenal.
The England international has been one of the Premier League's most in-demand players for a few years now, and many expect him to finally get his big move this summer.
After leading Crystal Palace to the FA Cup last term, Eze is ready for the next step in his career, and Arsenal have been in discussions with the player since late June.
Eze is open to the move, and Arsenal are considering making a bid, but there have been no formal talks with Crystal Palace yet. Eze has a release clause worth between €70 million and €80m, but the Gunners are understood to be reluctant to pay that much and will have to negotiate with the Eagles.
Eze has also received interest from Tottenham, but Spurs have seemingly pivoted to other targets. They have already signed Mohammed Kudus for €64m and are now prioritising moves for Morgan Gibbs-White and Yoane Wissa.
Arsenal fans given Eze hope
Events on Saturday have given Arsenal fans hope that a move for Eze is now close, with the 27-year-old not involved in Crystal Palace's first pre-season friendly against Millwall, nor included in the club's kit launch.
The Eagles have unveiled their tidy new home strip for the upcoming season, but as Sky Sports points out, the England attacker was not included in any of the promotional material. New signing Borna Sosa, who was only announced on Friday, made the cut.

Eze was also not in Oliver Glasner's squad to face Millwall, and this has sent Arsenal fans on social media into meltdown. However, the reason for this is actually quite simple: he is still on holiday.
Eze featured for England in the clashes with Andorra and Senegal at the beginning of June and, like all of Palace's international players, was given extra time off to recuperate. He also recently got married to his long-time partner Izuthe Mulatto.
The likes of Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Adam Wharton, who have been linked with moves away, all featured in Palace's kit unveiling as well as the clash with Millwall.
