Victor Osimhen finally appears to be closing in on his new club, with a €500 million deal triggering the long-awaited transfer of the Napoli striker.
Osimhen has been linked with a move away from the Serie A champions for well over a year, yet his salary demands have seen Premier League teams put off a deal. Interest remains from the Saudi Pro League, but the 26-year-old is willing to turn down an extraordinary offer to stay in Europe.

Galatasaray have emerged as the leading candidates to sign the prolific centre-forward.
After spending last season on loan with the Istanbul side, Osimhen is eager to remain in Turkey, where he is loved by the fans after scoring 37 goals.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray made a €70m bid on Friday, only for Napoli to knock back the offer.
He reported on X: “Understand Napoli have now rejected new formal proposal sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen.
“Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees… Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed and he has rejected.”
A €500m unlocks Osimhen transfer
Raising the funds for the deal has been a major issue for Galatasaray but they appear to be on the verge of a €500m sale that will allow them to finally end the Osimhen saga.
According to Sky Sport Deutschland transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, the Istanbul side are close to selling their training ground to the City of Istanbul for this extravagant sum.
While it had previously been reported that they were close to an agreement worth €900m, a number of other projects are planned to finalise this spectacular transfer. The Turkish giants are also planning on selling shares, get new sponsorship deals, do some real estate projects and sell players all just to sign Osimhen.
The Nigeria international striker has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €54.6m and only has a year left on his contract with Napoli.
