Arsenal tipped to HIJACK Liam Delap deal despite Chelsea medical

Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap has been told to join Arsenal, despite the fact that his medical at Chelsea will take place on Sunday.

The England U21 international is on the verge of joining Enzo Maresca’s side for a fee of €35 million, after the Blues agreed to trigger the relegation release clause in his Ipswich contract.

However, former Premier League midfielder Lee Hendrie believes the Englishman should choose to join the Gunners this summer, telling Football League World: “I personally think he should go to Arsenal because they’re desperate for a centre-forward.

“Listen, Chelsea are a fantastic football club and they’re probably in need of an out-and-out striker, I don’t feel they’ve had one for quite some time. He might be just the difference.

“But my only concern there is if he is going to the game time he has done this season, and that’s why people are talking about him.”

Gunners hold ‘SECRET’ Sesko meeting

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta recently held a “secret meeting” with RB Leipzig as the Gunners intensify their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko.

The Gunners have outlined Sesko as one of their top targets to strengthen up front this summer, with Leipzig said to be seeking a fee of around €82 million.

Berta held a “secret meeting” in London with Marcel Schafer, his RB Leipzig counterpart, to discuss a deal for Sesko and talks are ongoing as Arsenal look to finalise an agreement for the Slovenia superstar.

Sesko is reportedly keen to join a team capable of fighting for domestic and European trophies, although he recently admitted that he wants his development as a player to be prioritised by his next club.

Arsenal told Brighton asking price for Pedro

Arsenal have held a long-term interest in Joao Pedro and Brighton have now reportedly placed a pricetag of £70m (€83m) on their young forward.

Pedro could leave Brighton after a bust up with a teammate towards the end of the season, which has prompted the club to consider offers for him despite being highly-rated.

Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa are all thought to be keen on a player who scored ten goals last season and cost €40m in 2023.

Pedro was left out of Brighton’s squad for the last two games of the season with manager Fabian Hurzeler insisting that the 23-year-old will learn from his mistake despite violating the club’s ‘non-negotiables’ with his behaviour.

Arsenal eye breakout Brighton wonderkid

Arsenal are among the sides reportedly eyeing up Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh after his impressive first season in the Premier League.

Minteh cost the Seagulls just over €30 million after signing from Newcastle last summer and the 20-year-old grabbed six goals and four assists from right wing this season.

Man Utd outlet Stretty News claim that several Premier League clubs are interested in Minteh, with Liverpool and Tottenham also name checked along with the Red Devils.

However, Minteh would not come cheap, with Brighton more open to selling Joao Pedro rather than cashing in on a player they signed just 12 months ago.

Real Madrid issue Rodrygo ultimatum

Arsenal could be boosted in their pursuit of Rodrygo after Real Madrid reportedly issued the Brazilian an ultimatum over his future.

Rodrygo will consider leaving Real after a decline in his performances this season, although he has regained optimism for his future with the impending arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso.

However, according to Fichajes, Real have demanded that Rodrygo show a ‘decisive response’ in his training and mentality if he is to remain at the club.

Much could depend on the upcoming Club World Cup and, having been dropped for Real’s last few games of the domestic season, Rodrygo may be a candidate to move to the Gunners if he does not show an improvement in the summer tournament.
