Mikel Arteta is ready to go “all out” to sign a superstar winger to his Arsenal ranks for next season, with the Gunners boss having laid down a bid of €70 million for a player he has been tracking for some time.
Though long-time Arsenal target Nico Williams was one of Spain’s scorers in their remarkable 5-4 Nations League victory over France in Stuttgart, Arteta is set to look elsewhere in La Liga for his first major summer signing.
Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has become the Gunners’ leading target, according to Fichajes, with the Emirates club having made a decision to go “all-out” to sign the Brazil international.

Rodrygo to take his time over transfer decision
Arsenal are willing to bid up to €70 million for the winger, yet it is unclear if this will be enough to tempt Madrid into a sale. Previous reports had indicated that Rodrygo had a price tag of €100m on his head.
Rodrygo, though, is seen as a player who can add game-breaking qualities to Arsenal’s play that were sometimes lacking as they finished as Premier League runners-up yet again.
The positive news for Arteta is that the 24-year-old, who is under contract until June 2028, is an attainable target. Although the Spanish source points out that his future will not be decided immediately due to the arrival of new head coach Xabi Alonso, under the previous administration, he struggled to find room in a packed attack alongside Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and, to a lesser extent, Jude Bellingham.
Equally, it is claimed that Rodrygo wants to discuss his future with Alonso and express his desire to play off the left – a role where he is currently third choice at the Bernabeu.
Rodrygo has an ETV of €98.1m, highlighting his overall qualities and suggesting that Arsenal would be getting him for a steal if their bid was to be successful.
