Fabrizio Romano CONFIRMS exit of €35m Man Utd star

Victor Lindelof will leave Manchester United this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sweden international's stint at Old Trafford is set to come to an end after eight years. Signed for a whopping €35 million from Benfica in 2017, Lindelof never managed to really become a consistent performer for the Red Devils.
To be sure, the 30-year-old has made over 280 competitive appearances for Man Utd over the course of those eight years, but he has become somewhat emblematic of the systemic failure at the club.
Like so many others since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, Lindelof will ultimately go down as a very average Man Utd player who cost big money but never truly won over the Red Devils faithful.
Lindelof's current season has been disrupted by injuries, and he has played just over 1000 minutes. Head coach Ruben Amorim, whom he already knew from his Benfica days, has handed him 17 appearances this term.
Lindelof to leave Man Utd
It has been known for quite some time that Lindelof's time at Old Trafford is drawing to a close. The Swede has been increasingly associated with a move away in recent years, and this summer will finally see him depart.
Lindelof's contract is expiring at the end of the season, and Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that no extension will be forthcoming for the veteran defender.

According to the transfer insider, Lindelof already has offers on the table from several top leagues around Europe, including Serie A and LaLiga. Previously, he was heavily linked with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce.
The decision to go separate ways was communicated at a meeting between Lindelof's camp and Man Utd officials this week. He will free up some space on the club's wage bill but will not bring in any transfer funds.
