Marcus Rashford’s next club revealed – but there’s ONE catch

Barcelona are interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United this summer, a report from Catalan media has confirmed.
Rashford is set to leave the Red Devils in the summer after being exiled by head coach Ruben Amorim after a fall out in December. He spent the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa, where he enjoyed something of a renaissance, yet a permanent move to Unai Emery’s side appears unlikely due to his wage demands.
Barcelona, though, could make a move for the England international, who appreciates that his time at Man Utd is very probably over.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the Blaugrana do want to sign Rashford because they are wary that they are too reliant on the wide areas in Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. However, the 27-year-old is not the club’s first pick in that area, and any deal for the Man Utd star hinges on the Catalans failing to land their top target.
Luis Diaz is Barcelona’s priority
Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has been described as Barca’s “priority” to reinforce the wide attacking areas.
The Colombia star has gone public on his “dream” of playing for Barcelona via his father in the past, and it appears that this could come true in the summer.
Luis Diaz is described as the “favourite” of sporting director Deco, who met with head coach Hansi Flick on Tuesday to discuss the club’s summer transfer plans.

Rashford represents a strong alternative, although Barcelona are not willing to pay Man Utd’s €40 million asking price for the winger, who has switched agents to Pini Zahavi prior to the summer in order to push through a deal.
In addition to this, the player has also shown a willingness to significantly reduce his salary to complete a move.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are lining up a loan deal that has an option to buy – but they will only make a move for Rashford if they cannot first sign Luis Diaz.
