In Conor Bradley, Liverpool have a hugely talented right-back waiting in the wings to succeed Alexander-Arnold, but they have nevertheless decided to dip into the market for a more high-profile replacement.

Frimpong close as Bradley signs new deal
“We can confirm that talks are advancing, and there is growing optimism in the player’s camp that a deal will be struck to take him to Anfield," Ornstein revealed in his WhatsApp community, The Athletic Insiders.
"Now it's not done, but I think Bayer Leverkusen and the player himself would want this to be resolved once the Bundesliga season finishes, and that's this Saturday. So it's a case of watch this space.”

However, despite the imminent arrival of Frimpong, Liverpool have sought to show Bradley that he has a long-term future at the club. The Reds have announced that they have handed the Northern Ireland international a new contract until 2029.
“To sign another contract, I’m very proud and happy to see what the next steps on our journey together will be,” Bradley said after penning his new deal. “You’ve just got to keep your head down and keep working hard.
“It has been a fantastic two years [with the senior team]. Especially since coming back from loan and doing so well last year and continuing that on this year. It’s been really good. So, hopefully we can keep going and keep making more memories.”
