Yankuba Minteh was one of the breakout stars last season in the Eredivisie.
Playing for Feyenoord on loan from Newcastle, the teenager contributed significantly to De Stadionclub’s runners-up finish in the Eredvisie.
A report from The Telegraph stated that the Magpies were ‘reluctantly considering a host of offers to sell’ Minteh, linking Liverpool with the youngster.

Former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot, now at Anfield, is believed to be a huge fan - though other reports have thrown cold water on the notion that the Reds will look to buy him.
What position does Yankuba Minteh play in?
Minteh is a left-footed forward who usually plays on the right as an inverted winger, similar to Mohamed Salah’s role.
How good is Yankuba Minteh?
Minteh is nowhere near the finished article, but all the signs are there that he can grow into a huge talent. Last season in Holland, he scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances - a brilliant return for a loan signing.
He began his football journey at Steve Biko FC in Gambia. He was then given a trial with Danish club Odense Boldklub.
Initially, Minteh did not make a strong impression, but he was given a second opportunity to prove himself during another trial, where he earned a permanent contract. After joining their Under-19s, Minteh’s ability shone through and he soon landed a spot in the first-team later that year.
Minteh made his debut in the Danish Superliga against Copenhagen, coming on as a substitute and scoring the winning goal.
The following year Newcastle, announced that they had reached an agreement to sign Minteh. The youngster was brought to St James' Park by the club’s former director of football Dan Ashworth for just £6.5 million, before he was shipped on loan to Feyenoord ahead of the last campaign.
Newcastle are in the hunt for a right-winger but using Minteh would represent a bit of a risk. Eddie Howe has made the signing of a new right-sided forward one of the top priorities this summer. West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise and Atletico Madrid’s Nico Williams are all considered target, which means Minteh’s development would be hindered.
Their price tag of £40m does show how highly they rate the winger, however.
