Inbound new Liverpool boss Slot is 'wild' about Championship baller

New Liverpool boss Arne Slot is 'wild' about Crysencio Summerville, according to Dutch media.

The Reds are set for a big summer, not least because they will have to replace Jurgen Klopp. The legendary boss is leaving Anfield at the end of the season and current Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot has an agreement in place to succeed the German, though official confirmation is still pending.

Speculation surrounding which players Slot could take with him from Feyenoord to Liverpool has been rampant in recent days, but there are of course also players at other clubs the Dutchman will be keen on. One of those is Crysencio Summerville, according to 1908.nl.

The Dutch winger left Feyenoord a year before Slot's arrival at the club and he has since gone on to become a key player for Leeds United. Slot had wanted to sign the 22-year-old in previous transfer windows and is 'wild' about the winger, claims the Dutch outlet.

Summerville on fire

Intriguingly, this is a move that really could come to fruition this summer. FootballTransfers exclusively revealed in early April that Liverpool, Newcastle and AC Milan are keen on the Dutchman, so Slot could at last get his man.

Summerville has been on absolute fire for Leeds in the Championship this season. The scintillating winger has been arguably the biggest reason why Daniel Farke's side have been able to push for promotion this term and was deservedly named the Championship Player of the Season recently.

The 22-year-old has notched a whopping 19 goals and nine assists in the league this season (20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions) and has long since been linked with a big move. Chelsea are also said to be keen on him, but we understand that Leeds will attempt to tie him down to a new deal should they manage to immediately bounce back from last season's relegation.
