The Easter weekend is a huge one in the Premier League as Arsenal travel to the Etihad Stadium to face title rivals Manchester City on Sunday.

However, alongside the on-field action, the summer transfer window is creeping ever closer, and clubs around the world are refining their transfer plans in regards to who they would like to sign and sell.

Bayern Munich are set to appoint a new manager with Thomas Tuchel leaving his post at the end of the season, but they and Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their Xabi Alonso pursuits, with the Spaniard staying at Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has refused to rule in or out the return of Julian Nagelsmann, whose contract with Germany only runs until this summer's Euro 2022 on home soil.

Liverpool, have shifted their focus onto different targets, such as Ruben Amorim and Roberto de Zerbi.

The former offered a tantalising answer when quizzed about Liverpool's interest, teasing that fans "will soon see what happens." The Portuguese coach reportedly has a €15 million release clause in his Sporting CP contract.

In other news, Barcelona have been priced out of signing Joao Cancelo permanently from Man City. The Blaugrana are desperate to keep hold of the 29-year-old, but their chances of achieving this appear to be fading.
