Juventus have made it clear to Manchester United that they won’t even consider negotiating a sale of star defender Bremer unless they receive an offer of at least €70 million.

According to multiple reports, United have made Bremer their top defensive target for the summer transfer market.

In reality, though, it will probably take an even bigger offer for Juventus to consider selling Bremer.

He only signed a new contract at Juventus in December that runs until 2028, increasing his transfer value.

Juventus also consider the Brazilian an indispensable player and would rather not sell, although every player has their price given the financial predicament Serie A clubs find themselves in now.

Bremer the best defender in Serie A

Bremer has been arguably the best defender in Serie A this season.

He has been a rock at the heart of Max Allegri’s back three, with Juventus conceding just 21 goals in 27 games in Serie A.

Bremer was named Serie A Defender of the Year during the 2021-22 season for Torino.

This led to Juventus signing him in the summer of 2022 after hijacking Inter Milan’s move for the player.

He had a steady first campaign with the Bianconeri but has really impressed this term.

The Brazilian boasts lightning pace, is aggressive, excellent in the air and reads the game well. His one weakness is his distribution but in terms of defending he is an outstanding defender.

Man Utd are in the market for at least one top centre-back in 2024 as a number of their current central defenders are likely to leave in the summer.

The futures of Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are in doubt as their contracts are expiring, while Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire’s futures are not secure either.
